INDEPENDENT THEATRE TROUPE ADVOCATING ARTISTIC FREEDOM
It was in 2007 that we: two actresses Mariana Yeghiazaryan and Zhanna Hovakimyan founded “Theater 8 troupe" with the aim to be free in our decisions and choices of repertoire. In the search of new experience and professional development, we have cooperated and enjoyed our plays with different directors and invited actors,

-
“No humans”. Issue of concern: Gender selective abortions in Armenia,
-
"7 Days Left". Issue of concern: Girls' education and early marriages,

The troupe is constantly experimenting by using visual art as an advocacy tool and a non-formal education tool for raising social issues (e.g. girls’ education, domestic violence, sex-selective abortion, etc.).
